Title:Conference Coordinator
Location:Alpharetta, GA
Emerald Expositions, a leader in the b2b Tradeshow industry, seeks a Conference Coordinator. In this role, you will support the Conference Management team in all aspects of conference management including determining audio visual requirements to developing conference evaluations. This position is based in our Alpharetta, GA office and will travel for conferences within the assigned portfolio.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Speaker coordination & logistics, including but not limited to: create, send & track speaker agreements, maintain speaker database, coordinate travel & audio/visual requirements, as well as collect & upload speaker bios, photos, and handouts.
  • Keep conference websites up-to-date with speakers and session information, and create/manage RSVP links and lists for special events/conferences.
  • Proofing conference brochures, show directories and signage in partnership with conference management.
  • Assist in development, distribution and analysis of speaker evaluations and send results to speakers & association committee members.
  • Create online call for presentations for all conferences, and provide guidance regarding any challenges to submissions.
  • Compile all speaker submissions; submit to education partner for review and session selection.
  • Work closely with conference management in CEU process including submitting CEU certificates and completing accreditation process.
  • Prepare conference shipments by securing on-site supplies and other conference related items.
  • Process payments and reimbursements for speakers and other vendors.
  • Represent Emerald Expositions onsite at conferences and community events, along with other duties as assigned.
As a qualified candidate, you will have:
  • 1-3 years of experience (conference, events, hospitality, or fundraising experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge and understanding of meeting and event planning principles, requirements, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn new software packages quickly.
